I created this site for two reasons: renewed interest in a fanzine, cassette label and group I was active with in the early 80s; and to promote a book I've written: 1984: British Pop's Dividing Year, published on 25 November 2020.
I am an arts manager, festival director, writer, onetime non-musician, map-lover, Remainer, husband and father. I am based in the UK, although from 1999-2016 lived in Tokyo, Bangkok, Beijing and Mexico City.
