Wonder Woman 1984

Why is the upcoming Wonder Woman film set in 1984? Is it a significant year or something? Apparently much of it was shot in Britain. Does she intervene in the miners' strike? No, wait, there's a Cold War theme... Will Frankie's Two Tribes figure in the soundtrack? And is it coincidence that WW's earthly name s Diana Prince and the villain is called Maxwell? We'll have to wait as, like the Bond movie, WW1984 won't get a release unto, the cinemas re-open. Another piece of pop set in 1984 will be published on schedule.
